The Surgery Department at North Alabama Shoals Hospital offers RNs a supportive, patient-focused environment where teamwork and high-quality care are at the center of everything they do. Nurses care for a diverse patient population, build strong clinical skills, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams in a department that values professional growth, compassion, and meaningful patient connections.
The Surgery Manager role oversees multiple departments, providing strategic direction, managing subordinate leaders, and establishing long-term goals. The position requires strong independent judgment, discretion, and adaptability when handling complex decisions, confidential information, and non-routine matters. The role works closely with senior leadership, healthcare professionals, and external vendors and may function as a staff-level RN when needed to support clinical operations.
