Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Services in a fast-paced ED. You will provide skilled nursing care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients and families in urgent situations.

Full-time evening/night shifts with a 5,000 sign-on bonus; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred. New grads welcome; opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BCLS is required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Two–three years of experience preferred, but new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
