Job summary

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical, PRN, Days shift. You will provide direct patient care, implement care plans, administer medications, and document care in the medical record, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and BCLS; ACLS/PALS and Handle with Care are preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided. Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Perform timely and accurate QA assessments
