Candidates should have a Bachelor's in biology/chemistry or related field and at least four years of relevant experience, including supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field; must meet education and experience guidelines for equipment and tests used and performed under federal regulations.
• 4 years relevant experience to include at least one year in the specific area assigned.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates duties, schedules, project activities, equipment usage, and space for a large group to ensure efficient operation of the lab.
• Coordinates availability of technical assistance, chemicals, and equipment to support clinical work or research projects.
• Supervises laboratory and office personnel, maintains personnel records, and completes performance evaluations.
• Orders and allocates laboratory supplies, materials, and equipment; maintains adequate inventory.
• Maintains warranties, service contracts, operating manuals, licenses and permits; oversees maintenance of equipment for regulatory compliance and safety.
