Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks an on-site Field Engineer to support the Surgery/OEC Imaging modality in the New Mexico/El Paso, TX region. You will perform installations, PMs, and service activities while coordinating with regional teams and customers to maximize uptime and satisfaction.

The role requires a technical background, practical troubleshooting, and a customer-focused mindset. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work after hours and occasional weekends are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship; OR HS Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to be available after hours or work rotating On-Call, including weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Installations, Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist field engineers with basic troubleshooting and service repair on designated equipment while developing independent work skills.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
