Job summary

GE HealthCare seeks an onsite Field Engineer to support the NM/El Paso region, delivering installations, maintenance, and responsive service for GEHC imaging equipment.

You will work with experienced engineers, communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction, and participate in revenue programs while building strong account relationships. A driving role with on-call shifts is required, and relocation support is available where applicable.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent military program.
• Experience or internship in biomedical/field service is preferred.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on-call for critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform installations, preventive maintenance, FMIs/ISIs on designated equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and work with senior field engineers.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and follow-up.
• Identify value-added services to help customers run their business efficiently.
• Maintain service logs, order parts, and manage cycle times.
• Engage with account teams and assist in sales opportunities when appropriate.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor information.
• Answer service calls independently within one year.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

or equivalent military education

or GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program

or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience servicing electronic equipment

Experience with Web applications

Microsoft Office Suite

Valid Driver's License

Willingness for after-hours/on-call shifts
