American Vision Partners (AVP) seeks a Call Center Premium Surgery Counselor to guide patients through the surgical process, educate options including premium products, and schedule procedures. They act as a liaison among the office, surgical facility, patient and referring physicians.

Responsibilities include counseling patients, explaining pre/post-operative instructions, handling paperwork, and maintaining confidentiality to ensure an exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in a medical practice; ophthalmology preferred.
• Experience in ophthalmology is preferred.
• Comfort discussing financial options and payment plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to decide within established protocols with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Maintains basic knowledge of surgeries performed at AVP facilities.
• Counsels patients for surgery by providing clear details about what to expect.
• Educates patients on pre/post-operative instructions and consents for surgeries.
• Reviews surgery paperwork to ensure signed documents are received.
• Schedules necessary appointments, by specialty as appropriate.
• Monitors schedules for cancellations/no-shows and reschedules.
• Ensures patient out-of-pocket amounts are documented and collected prior to surgery.
• Helps maintain referring provider relationships and create an exceptional patient experience.
• Responds to inquiries and maintains timely follow-up with patients.
