Job summary

American Vision Partners is seeking a Call Center Premium Surgery Counselor to assist patients through the surgical process and pre-operative steps, educating them on options including premium products, and coordinating scheduling between the office, facility, patient, and referring physician.

This role emphasizes delivering exceptional patient experiences, verifying documents, managing appointments, and maintaining confidentiality while supporting a fast-paced, high-volume ophthalmology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a medical practice: refractive, surgical, aesthetic or ophthalmology preferred.
• Comfort discussing financial options and presenting payment plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of surgeries performed at AVP facilities.
• Counsels patients for surgery by providing clear details about what to expect.
• Educates patients on pre/post-operative instructions and consents.
• Reviews surgery paperwork to ensure signed documents are received.
• Schedules surgeries and related appointments by specialty.
• Monitors schedules and follows up for reschedules.
• Ensures payment responsibilities are documented and collected prior to surgery.
• Maitains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Supports referring provider relationships and exceptional patient experiences.
• Participates in ongoing training and a team-oriented environment.
