Job summary

American Vision Partners is seeking a Call Center Premium Surgery Counselor to guide patients through the surgical process and pre-operative steps. You will educate patients on options, schedule procedures, and serve as the bridge between office staff, surgical centers, and referring physicians.

Ideal candidates will have a year of medical practice experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to discuss payment plans.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a medical practice; ophthalmology preferred.
• Comfortable discussing financial options and payment plans.
• Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make decisions within established protocols with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with all aspects of the surgical process and pre-operative preparations.
• Educate patients on surgical options, including premium product offerings.
• Schedule surgeries and act as liaison between office, facility, patient and physician.
• Counsel patients, review paperwork, and ensure signed documents are returned.
• Monitor schedules, reschedule as needed and manage patient communications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and support an exceptional patient experience.
