Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main OR. This full-time evening position supports the surgeon during procedures across multiple specialties and performs technical and patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

You will serve as a clinical specialist within several service lines, assist with maintaining surgical standards, and contribute to a collaborative surgical team dedicated to safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

High School graduate or GED.
Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
