Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA is seeking an OR Surgical Technologist for the main OR. This full-time evening shift involves assisting surgeons in the operating room across multiple specialties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Ideal candidates will hold Surgical Tech Certification or be licensed as an LPN, have a High School Diploma or GED, and BLS certification. In lieu of certification, a total of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience may apply, with a GA LPN license if

Qualifications

• Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required; 7 years experience can substitute for certification (total 10 years).
• Current GA LPN License if applicable.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed as an LPN required; BLS certification required.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required. In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Current GA LPN License if applicable.
