Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room across multiple specialties. You will assist physicians during surgery under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing technical tasks and some patient care activities.

The role requires formal surgical technology training (or a related LPN program), 3 years of experience with certification, and current BCLS; CST certification is preferred. This position is based on-site in Stockbridge, GA.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification required
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource.
• Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.
