Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist physicians in the operating room across multiple specialties. You will perform technical duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and support the surgical team throughout procedures.

Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred; BLS certification is required. The role supports a fast-paced, multidisciplinary surgical services environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Performing technical duties and some patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:

Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School graduate or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

• N/A

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• BLS certification required.
