Job summary

Inframark in Texas seeks a Surface Water Operator to operate and maintain equipment at our water treatment facility. The role favors a candidate with a Surface Water Operator license or equivalent and a willingness to work all shifts, including on-call emergencies.

The position emphasizes routine testing, process monitoring, and documentation of plant performance, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Training may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques and maintenance.
• Ability to perform on-site maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules.
• Previous water or wastewater treatment experience desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment such as valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, and disinfection gear.
• Tests, monitors, and maintains wells and unit processes, plus basic lab analyses.
• Documents treatment process and plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage.
• Responds to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Keeps facilities clean, neat, and secure.
• Provides customer service when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call.
