Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Surface Water Operator to operate and maintain equipment at our water treatment facility in Weslaco, TX. Licenses such as a Surface Water Operator C or higher are preferred, with willingness to obtain required certifications.

The role involves routine testing, maintenance, and documentation of plant performance, while supporting on-call emergencies and after-hours work. Candidates must be prepared for shift work, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures, and safe practices.
• Ability to perform on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment in the water treatment facility, including valves, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Conduct routine testing and monitoring of production wells and treatment processes; document plant performance and chemical usage.
• Respond to call-outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and support electrical systems.
