Job summary

Inframark LLC is hiring a Surface Water Operator I to operate and maintain equipment at our water treatment facility. You will perform routine testing, monitor wells, document plant performance, and respond to emergencies to repair equipment and systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic Microsoft Office skills, and a willingness to pursue water/wastewater certification. Flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• Willing to study required material and obtain water/wastewater certification.
• Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures, and safe practices.
• Ability to perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Knowledge of regulatory rules is essential.
• Water/wastewater experience desirable; related courses desirable.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment such as valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring and basic lab analyses.
• Documents plant performance, including flow, electrical and chemical usage.
• Responds to call-outs and emergencies to repair equipment and systems.
• Maintains clean, secure facilities and provides customer service when needed.
• Adheres to company policies and SOPs; manages multiple tasks.
