Job summary

Ascot Group seeks an Underwriting Assistant, Surety, to support the full account life cycle including new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. You will assist with bond issuance, agency changes, and servicing activities while partnering with the Surety Underwriting team to ensure accurate, timely processing and high-quality service for internal and external customers.

The role emphasizes research and resolution of processing issues, premium reconciliation, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of insurance experience supporting a Surety team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Process Surety transactions with accurate data entry across product lines.
• Review requests for new bonds, riders, rates, and code new or renewals.
• Provide underwriting support to the Surety team and exceptional service to clients and agents.
• Foster relationships with distribution partners.
• Assist with customer inquiries and input of new bond transactions.
• Retrieve information from systems and verify documents for accuracy.
