Job summary

Ascot Group, a world-class specialty risk underwriter, seeks an Underwriting Assistant for Surety to support the full account life cycle, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and servicing activities. You will collaborate with the Surety Underwriting team to ensure accurate processing and exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of insurance experience supporting a Surety team, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of insurance experience supporting a Surety team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process Surety transactions and data entry across product lines.
• Review new bonds, riders, rates, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, reinstatements.
• Provide underwriting support and exceptional service to clients and agents.
• Foster relationships with distribution partners and customers.
• Assist with inquiries and input of bond transactions, verify documents.
