Job summary

Ascot Group in Stamford, CT is seeking an Underwriting Assistant, Surety, to support the full account life cycle for Surety business. You will process bonds, endorsements, and conversions, ensuring accuracy and timely service for agents and clients. You will collaborate with the underwriting team to resolve issues and reconcile billing and premium data.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, data accuracy, and customer-focused service within a dynamic, AI-enabled underwriting environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of insurance experience supporting a Surety team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Process Surety transactions through accurate data entry across product lines.
• Review requests for new bonds, riders, rates, and code new business.
• Provide underwriting support to the Surety Underwriting team and to clients.
