Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Assistant or Underwriting Assistant performing similar responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities across email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Edge/Chrome, and Nitro Pro or Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Process Surety business through data entry, Underwriter support, understanding rating scenarios, and producing error-free work through strong attention-to-detail
• Develop superior working relationships with underwriters and act as the first point of contact with timely service inquiries
• Maintain successful relationships with agencies and clients
• Display and use knowledge with filed rates, minimum premium, rater and assisting with line cards
• Manage internal reports: monthly renewal, status reports, data cleanup projects, submission under review & quoted status
• Provide support to Surety UW Center team (other UAs, account management, bond forms, collections)
