Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. in Overland Park, Kansas, seeks an experienced surety professional to coordinate all surety services for small to medium clients and manage underwriting information.

You will develop relationships with clients and surety personnel, educate clients through bonding, and lead meetings with moderate guidance. A five-to-ten year background, P&C license, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of similar or surety related experience.
• AFSB designation preferred.
• Must hold a Property & Casualty insurance license for the domiciled state and others where clients are located.
• Continued education requirements must be fulfilled.
• High degree of diplomacy and trust.
• Ability to interpret and analyze surety/insurance and financial documents.
• Strong analytical and math skills with surety underwriting and marketing.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Coordinate workflow on special projects.
• Limited travel required – 25% or less.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all surety services for clients involving small to medium sized companies.
• Gather, analyze and maintain underwriting information for clients and prospects.
• Develop and manage relationships with clients, external and internal customers, and surety company personnel.
• Provide education and support to clients through the bonding process.
• Lead client surety meetings with moderate guidance.
• Demonstrate problem solving and act as a source of contract and commercial surety expertise.
• Develop new and re-marketing submissions and manage the marketing process to maintain competitive bond programs.
• Assist in developing sales of new or additional lines of business.
• Oversee AR collections per IMA Surety Accounts Receivable process.
• Work on-site in an IMA office about 50% of the time.
