Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers’ systems.

You will manage daily service calls, coordinate with customers, and may participate in on-call emergency service rotations. Government work may be included where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong customer-facing problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals
• Manage daily service calls and customer activity
• May include government work
