Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a field service technician to perform on-site diagnostics, repair, inspection and testing of fire sprinkler and suppression systems, and to support O&M field labor for portable extinguishers and kitchen hood systems.

Read blueprints and manuals, manage daily service calls and coordinate with customers. Strong communication, problem-solving, and PC skills are required; FEL-A preferred; valid US driver’s license; on-call rotation; government work

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows; Excel, Word and Outlook.
• FEL‑A certification preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications (e.g., ANSUL, Kiddie, PyroChem, RMEI) are a plus.
• Valid US driver's license; multi-license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Perform inspections of suppression gas systems per contract requirements.
• Utilize smartphones and equipment as needed.
• May include government work.
