Job summary

Pediatric Home Service is seeking a Documentation Specialist in Roseville, MN. Join a pediatric home health team focused on removing documentation barriers to care for children and families.

You will obtain authorizations, communicate with physician offices, and review records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role supports timely patient orders and requires strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• DME intake experience preferred.
• Highly organized with strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Experience with Brightree EHR is a plus.
• Experience obtaining Title 19 with health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Obtain prior authorizations and required documentation.
• Communicate with physician offices and providers to request missing or updated docs.
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness and payer/regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Support patient supply and service orders by ensuring required documentation is received.
• Collaborate with Admissions, referrals, Customer Service and other teams to move patient orders forward.
• Follow up on outstanding documentation and address barriers or delays.
• Communicate professionally via phone, email and electronic systems with internal and external partners.
• Manage multiple patient accounts and documentation requests while meeting deadlines.
• Research documentation issues to determine what additional information is needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA and company requirements.
• Provide a positive experience for patients, families, providers, and referral partners.
• Help ensure documentation does not become a barrier to care for children and families served.

Position Supporting Documentation SpecialistLocation Roseville MNHours Monday Friday 8am 5pmIn office training hybrid schedule after training complete

THE POSITION

• Obtain prior authorizations statements of medical necessity and other required supporting documentation
• Communicate with physician offices and healthcare providers to request missing corrected or updated documentation
• Review documentation for accuracy completeness and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate and up to date patient records
• Support patient supply and service orders by ensuring required documentation is received and complete
• Collaborate with Admissions referrals Customer Service and other internal teams to keep patient orders moving forward
• Follow up on outstanding documentation and proactively work through barriers or delays
• Communicate professionally through phone email and electronic systems with both internal and external partners
• Manage multiple patient accounts and documentation requests at once while meeting deadlines
• Research documentation issues and determine what additional information is needed
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA and organizational requirements
• Provide a positive experience for patients families providers and referral partners through strong communication and follow through
• Most importantly youll help make sure documentation doesnt become a barrier to care for the children and families we serve

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Durable medical equipment DME intake admissions experience preferred
• Exceptionally organized multi tasking problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills
• A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required
• Experience in Brightree EHR a plus
• Experience in obtaining title 19 with health care providers

SALARY RANGE
