Dimensions is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our specialist forensic home in Wallington. You will provide 1:1 support to a gentleman in his 60s with learning disabilities and a forensic history, helping him stay active, connected to the community and live as independently as possible.
You'll follow approved support plans, work with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in training to keep high standards of care.
Dimensions is one of the UK's leading not-for-profit organisations, supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to live independent lives. Our Specialist Forensic Services help people move forward from secure or restrictive environments, building the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive in their communities. At Dimensions, we believe in supporting people to achieve their goals, learn new skills and live the life they choose, with person-centred support at the heart of everything we do.
We're looking for a resilient, compassionate and values-driven full-time Support Worker to join our specialist forensic support home in Wallington. In this role, you'll provide dedicated 1:1 support to a gentleman in his 60s with learning disabilities and a forensic history. He enjoys being active, spending time in the community and exploring London, and you'll play a key part in helping him live a fulfilling and independent life. Through consistent, person-centred support, you'll build a positive relationship with him, encouraging independence, developing daily living skills, supporting community involvement and helping him achieve his personal goals.
As part of a specialist team, you'll follow support plans and risk management strategies while working collaboratively with colleagues and professionals to provide high-quality, tailored support. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, reliable and committed to making a genuine difference in someone's life.
This home provides 24-hour support, and full-time colleagues work a rota that includes long days, sleep-ins and morning support shifts. Due to the specialist nature of the home, successful applicants must be able to attend mandatory training, including a forensic induction, service‑specific training, shadow shifts and competency assessments. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
Previous experience as a Support Worker is beneficial but not essential. Full training will be provided.
