Job summary

Labcorp in Issaquah, WA is hiring a Medical Lab Technologist to join a forward‑looking team on a Monday–Friday dayshift with rotating weekends and holidays.

The role emphasizes testing accuracy, instrument maintenance, and timely reporting to support patient care in a fast‑paced laboratory setting. A bachelor’s degree in life sciences or medical technology plus ASCP/AMT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies.
• Assist with processing of specimens as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Issaquah, WA. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday dayshift shift 06:00AM- 2:30PM including rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

Pay Range:

$34.25 - $52.14 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21.

Benefits:

Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333) hours of sick leave for each hour of work) capped at 64 hours per year, Tuition Reimbursement and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
