Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our Spokane, WA laboratory. The role involves performing routine and complex testing, maintaining instrumentation, following SOPs, and delivering accurate results to support patient care.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology, MLS/ASCP certification preferred, and strong attention to detail with teamwork and communication skills. Flexible work schedule provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology required or MLS degree preferred.
  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Work Schedule: Flexible

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASCP or AMT certification or Certified Toxicologist
  • 6 months experience and familiarity with laboratory information systems
  • 6 months or more experience with LCMSMS, GCMS, GCFID and/or ICPMS testing

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range

$27.77 - $37.00 hourly

All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.Employees who are regularly scheduled toworka 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
