Job Title: Support Services Team Leader

Are you detail-oriented, process-focused, and enjoy leading others? LabCorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and challenging environment, contributing to our mission: "Improving Health, Improving Lives."

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Work Location:

1400 NW 12th Ave, Miami, FL

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in supervising the daily operations of the department.
  2. Lead the team in their processes and procedures.
  3. Assist with preparation and routing of laboratory specimens.
  4. Encourage process improvements and best practices.
  5. Perform quality assurance checks for efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Resolve production errors and escalate when necessary.
  7. Engage in continuous process and service improvements.
  8. Enforce policies and procedures.
  9. Perform administrative duties as needed.
  10. Support new managers/supervisors with IT equipment and return equipment when necessary.
  11. Manage supplies, including stock and back-order items, and find alternatives as needed.
  12. Collaborate with Finance to provide insights and prevent errors.
  13. Manage COVID supplies and support outside clinics with supplies, maintaining good relationships.
  14. Identify and coordinate procurement of reagents and ensure regulatory compliance.
  15. Handle invoice payments and processing of quotes.
  16. Optimize storage and workflow for supplies.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or higher is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical laboratory.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
