The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full-time Supervisor, Patient Access. This role oversees and supervises the daily operations of patient access at an assigned location, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent service in a hospital and practice-based environment across the University of Miami Health System.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage demographic, financial, and clinical data entry for patient accounts.
• Train, evaluate, and monitor registration staff, promoting a positive work environment.
• Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
• Plan and schedule staffing to meet patient volume demands.
• Communicate patient flow issues to management.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Explain consent, financial liability, and HIPAA policies to patients.
• Address performance issues and manage staff development.
• Collect outstanding balances, ensure accurate financial reporting, and deposit funds.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with university policies.
• Ensure staff training on controls and policies.
