Support Services Team Leader

Are you detail-oriented, process-focused, and enjoy leading others? LabCorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team. In this position, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and challenging environment, contributing to our mission: "Improving Health, Improving Lives."

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Work Location:

1400 NW 12th Ave, Miami, FL

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in supervising the day-to-day operations of the department.
  2. Lead the team in their daily processes and procedures.
  3. Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
  4. Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas.
  5. Encourage process improvements and best practices.
  6. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Resolve production errors as requested by management.
  8. Research and resolve production errors, escalating when necessary.
  9. Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
  10. Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
  11. Perform administrative duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Associate's degree or higher is a plus.
  3. At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical laboratory.
  4. Prior leadership experience is a plus.
  5. Familiarity with laboratory operations, policies, and procedures is preferred.
  6. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. High attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  9. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
