Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to adapt to varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety and service standards.

Starting pay is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience, with overtime after 40 hours and potential weekend OT. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.
• DOT physical may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to use space efficiently and prevent damage.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
