Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. in Des Moines, IA is hiring a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend OT. You will load, deliver, and pick up freight, inspect vehicles, and maintain a neat, professional appearance on the job.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
