Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support Route Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations in Minnesota. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety and service standards.

Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend OT. The position emphasizes customer service, vehicle safety, and punctual freight handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license.
• Good driving record meeting company standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned routes as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical issues with the vehicle.
• Load the truck efficiently to maximize space and protect packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify pickups on shipping papers and notify management of discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
