Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. The role includes daily routes, with 10–15 hours of overtime potential each week and voluntary OT on weekends.

Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience. Typical duties include loading/unloading, inspecting vehicles, collecting payments for certain shipments, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission or be willing to learn.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck to maximize space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
