Job summary

American Greetings is seeking a part-time Support Merchandiser for the Fredericksburg, VA area. You will service assigned retail locations, merchandising greeting cards, gift wrap, party goods, plush, and more, with emphasis on display quality and inventory upkeep.

Starting pay is $15.30 per hour with scheduled increases to $16.20 after 6 months and $17.00 after 1 year. Weekly hours average 8, with potential to rise to 15 during holidays.

Qualifications

• 18 yrs or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Company-provided tablet used for training and daily activities.
• Ability to meet scheduling needs including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Maintain organized backroom areas and perform inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Build relationships with store associates and management during daytime business hours.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets, fixtures, or rearrangements.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload in assigned stores using a company tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
