Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Support Engineer for the Pulp and Water division covering the New Hampshire/Maine territory. The role involves on-site testing, monitoring at customer sites, and adjusting chemical feed levels while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has a science/technical background or relevant experience, along with proficiency in MS Office, inventory control, and driving requirements. A company vehicle is provided along with benefits.

• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry and customer literacy, or ability to learn Solenis technologies quickly
• Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at customer site, enter data and assist with service reports
• Interface with customer to understand issues with chemicals or equipment
• Manage product inventory at customer site, handle deliveries and offloads
• Adjust chemical feed levels to meet optimal performance and deliver chemical; compile trial data
• Alert site manager to issues or opportunities and begin troubleshooting
• Conduct expanded testing of process variables to identify improvements
• Spec and set up, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment
• Work with site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance
• Train to conduct lab testing, repair/install chemical feed equipment, input data into Excel, manage inventory and chemical transfers, and maintain customer relationships

We are looking for a Support Engineer for our Pulp and Water division in the New Hampshire/Maine territory!

What You’ll Do:

• The primary resource who performs routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including data entry and contributes to service report preparation
• Interfaces with the customer to understand any issues with chemicals or equipment.
• Manages product inventory at the customer including deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks.
• Adjusts chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring; Delivers chemical and compiles trial data at the customer site
• Alerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues
• Conducts expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
• Specs out, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots monitoring and feed equipment
• Works with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance.
• In this position the employee will be trained to conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input numbers into excel, inventory control, chemical transfers, and maintain a positive customer (mill personnel) relationship.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
• Solving complex and non-routine technical problems

• Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
• Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues

The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,250.00 and $103,026.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
