Job summary

Solenis, LLC in Madawaska, Maine, United States invites applications for a Support Engineer in the Pulp and Water division serving the New Hampshire/Maine territory. You will perform routine testing, monitor at customer sites, adjust chemical feeds, manage inventory, and help optimize program performance.

You should have a Bachelor's Degree in a science or technical field (or relevant experience), strong problem-solving and relationship management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Adjust chemical feed levels and deliver samples for trials at the site.
• Troubleshoot issues and alert site management to opportunities.
• Conduct expanded testing to identify dosage improvements.
• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot monitoring/ feed equipment.
• Collaborate with site team and customers to optimize program performance.
• Receive training in lab testing, equipment repair, inventory control and data entry.

We are looking for a Support Engineer for our Pulp and Water division in the New Hampshire/Maine territory!

What You'll Do:

• The primary resource who performs routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including data entry and contributes to service report preparation
• Interfaces with the customer to understand any issues with chemicals or equipment.
• Manages product inventory at the customer including deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks.
• Adjusts chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring; Delivers chemical and compiles trial data at the customer site
• Alerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues
• Conducts expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
• Specs out, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots monitoring and feed equipment
• Works with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance.
• In this position the employee will be trained to conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input numbers into excel, inventory control, chemical transfers, and maintain a positive customer (mill personnel) relationship.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
• Solving complex and non‑routine technical problems
• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
• Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record

The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,250.00 and $103,026.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
