Job summary

Solenis LLC is seeking a Support Engineer for the Pulp and Water division covering the New York/New Jersey area. The role focuses on on-site testing, monitoring, data entry, and delivering reliable chemical feeds while ensuring client satisfaction.

You will interface with customers, manage inventory and equipment, and troubleshoot processes. A technical degree or equivalent experience plus MS Office proficiency are required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or technical field; experience may substitute for degree

• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry literacy or ability to quickly learn Solenis technologies
• Drive for results and proactive issue resolution
• Fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must pass criminal background check, drug screen and physical

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at the customer site, enter data, and assist with service reports.
• Interface with customers to resolve chemical or equipment issues.
• Manage customer inventory and deliveries to process units and tanks.
• Adjust chemical feed levels to optimize performance based on testing; deliver chemicals and compile trial data.
• Alert site management to issues and begin troubleshooting; expand testing to identify improvements.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment; input data into Excel.
• Collaborate with site teams and customers to ensure optimal program performance.

We are looking for a Support Engineer for our Pulp and Water division in New York/New Jersey!

What You'll Do:

• The primary resource who performs routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including data entry and contributes to service report preparation
• Interfaces with the customer to understand any issues with chemicals or equipment.
• Manages product inventory at the customer including deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks.
• Adjusts chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring; Delivers chemical and compiles trial data at the customer site
• Alerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues
• Conducts expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
• Specs out, sets up, maintains and troubleshoots monitoring and feed equipment
• Works with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance.
• In this position the employee will be trained to conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input numbers into excel, inventory control, chemical transfers, and maintain a positive customer (mill personnel) relationship.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree (Science or other technical degree). Would consider experience in lieu of a technical degree
• Solving complex and non-routine technical problems
• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
• Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record

The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,250.00 and $103,026.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
