Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower clients with developmental disabilities through personalized, community-based support.

You will assist with daily living activities, implement ISP goals, and promote independence. Training in CPR/First Aid and a valid driver’s license are required, with flexible hours including full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• Mandatory High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility).
• Follow ISPs aligned with client goals.
• Provide companionship and encouragement for social inclusion.
• Administer medications and monitor health per guidelines.
• Assist clients with job applications and training.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavior plans.

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients' goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with job applications and job training
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Required training certifications such as CPR and First Aid to be completed through approved providers.
