Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help clients achieve independence and participate in their communities. You will support daily living activities, monitor health, administer medications as directed, and assist with transportation, documentation, and behavioral plans.

The role emphasizes compassionate, reliable care, with flexible scheduling including full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
• Required CPR and First Aid training to be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients' goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
