Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey seeks a Direct Support Professional to empower clients with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate in the community.

You will assist with daily living activities, implement ISPs, provide companionship, oversee medications, and support transportation while maintaining careful care documentation and following behavioral plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training to be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
