Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc is seeking a procurement-support role in Burnsville, NC to assist the supply chain team. The position involves processing transactions for inventory control, creating purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Strong MS Office skills and knowledge of supply chain concepts are required, with experience in ERP systems preferred. Ideal candidates will have 2 years external experience or 1 year internal Altec experience in supply chain

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• External: 2 years experience preferred.
• Internal: 1 year Altec experience; Supply Chain preferred.
• APICS Certification counts as one year of experience.
• Microsoft Office suite experience required.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles preferred.
• Oracle/ERP system experience preferred.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts transactions for inventory management (Kanban, Packing Slips, RMR, Exception Reports, VMI, etc)
• Prepare and process purchase orders (Auto Creates)
• Data organization
• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers
• All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience required:
  • External: 2 years applicable experience.
  • Internal: 1 year Altec experience, Supply Chain functions preferred.
  • APICS Certification counts as one year of experience
• Microsoft Office suite experience required.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts preferred.
• Oracle/ERP system experience preferred.
