PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading company in the electronics manufacturing industry to find a dynamic Supply Chain Procurement Specialist who can turn supplier relationships and product expertise into measurable business results.
In this role, you’ll serve as the franchised line product expert for both internal and external customers. You’ll own key manufacturer relationships, influence product strategy, optimize inventory and pricing, and help identify opportunities that increase sales and profit margin. Your Impact.
You’ll sit at the intersection of procurement, product strategy, sales, suppliers, inventory, and operations. Your expertise will help ensure the company has the right products, at the right cost, with the right availability—while developing franchise lines for long-term growth.
You’ll also play a critical role in maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, quality standards, and company procedures, including ISO 9001/13485 and applicable occupational health and environmental requirements.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Supplier Management
- Support implementation of product strategies designed to increase gross profit and growth.
- Work with the quoting team to obtain accurate pricing and delivery information.
- Manage distribution design registration programs.
- Assist the web team with developing and maintaining online product listings.
- Develop, monitor, and report KPIs for assigned franchise lines in partnership with the Sales Analyst.
- Serve as the primary owner of assigned manufacturer and supplier relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers' representatives.
- Assist with quarterly and annual distribution business plans.
- Negotiate costs and review contracts to identify optimal commercial solutions.
- Track supplier performance and hold suppliers accountable while operating in alignment with company core values.
- Attend supplier worksites and industry tradeshows as appropriate.
Inventory, Cost & Pricing Management
- Assist with stock rotations and inventory management.
- Maintain accurate part-number and product-description nomenclature.
- Ensure product information—including cost, price, and lead time—is accurately entered and maintained.
- Establish stocking strategies based on demand, margin, lead time, customer requirements, and growth potential.
- Identify new products and high-potential SKUs for future stocking opportunities.
- Develop recommendations for minimum, maximum, reorder, and safety-stock levels.
- Monitor and update raw-material pricing and product availability.
Sales & Customer Support
- Serve as a product resource for internal and external customers.
- Provide backup support to sales functions as needed.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings.
- Identify target SKUs and opportunities for the sales team.
- Assist with material selection and product research for quoting activities.
- Contribute as an internal resource from prototype through production.
Procurement & ERP Administration
- Create and issue purchase orders through the ERP system.
- Review material demand and issue POs to approved suppliers.
- Create DMR documentation for defective-product returns.
- Send required supplier documentation through the ERP system.
- Enter and maintain new parts and vendors within the ERP.
- Work with receiving teams to resolve inbound-material issues.
- Research product pricing and availability and perform what-if scenarios to support business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies and pricing issues.
- Communicate material delays, defects, and supply issues to Sales and Production.
- Work closely with Scheduling to align material deliveries with job requirements.
- Facilitate and present technical and non-technical training for suppliers and internal team members.
- Plan and execute long-term improvement initiatives that strengthen the supply chain.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; alternatively, 6+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of electromechanical and interconnect components.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to use the internet effectively for product research and marketing-related activities.
- Ability to travel to supplier and customer locations locally and occasionally within the U.S. for overnight trips.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP system setup, administration, or manipulation.
- Previous experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Experience with harnesses, cables, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience managing manufacturer or franchise-line relationships.
- Experience with inventory strategy, product lifecycle management, or distribution programs.
- Experience developing supplier KPIs, business plans, or continuous-improvement initiatives.
Physical & Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an office environment, with time potentially spent in manufacturing or warehouse settings. Candidates should be able to:
- Use computers and office equipment for extended periods.
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull as required.
- Use hands and fingers to handle equipment and materials and communicate effectively by speaking and listening.
- Regularly lift and/or move items up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
- Travel to supplier and customer locations as business needs require.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
