Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Associate to manage operational functions for the GM LLP account, including inventory control and material availability. The role requires independent decision making to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory coverage across the plant network.

Key duties include coordinating supplier ship schedules, identifying containment plans, and maintaining accurate MGO data. A strong ability to multitask and collaborate across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 1+ year administrative experience preferred.
• 1+ year relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MGO MRP system preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation management is a plus.
• Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery to support production requirements.
• Serve as main contact for all suppliers and provide direction on ship schedules and containment plans.
• Track critical parts and develop containment plans to avoid interruptions to production.
• Coordinate alternative sources of material and requests for spot buys as needed.
• Independent monitoring, setup, and cancellation of truck loads to support schedule variations and maintain material coverage at lowest cost.
• Review part buffers to ensure coverage for build requirements and manage S and AV code exceptions.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and post adjustments after investigation.
