Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate III in Bowling Green, KY to handle material planning and inventory control for GM LLP accounts. The role emphasizes supplier coordination, schedule adherence, and cost-conscious material management.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One (1) year or more administrative experience preferred.
• Five (5) years or more relevant experience strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery.
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers with ship schedule requirements and containment plans.
• Track critical parts and develop containment plans to avoid interruptions to manufacturing.
• Coordinate alternative sources of material and spot buys if necessary (SPO and GM plants).
• Manage truck loads for material pickup and ensure material coverage at lowest cost.
• Review part buffers to ensure coverage for build requirements.
• Document and manage code exceptions and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and post adjustments as needed.
