Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Ops. Associate to join the GM Team at the Warren, OH facility. The role offers a salary of $48k-$50k per year with benefits and PTO and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8am to 4:30pm.

The position focuses on operational functions related to the General Motors LLP account, inventory control, and material availability, with emphasis on timely shipments, supplier coordination, and containment planning to avoid production delays.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Preferred 1 year or more in administrative experience.
• Preferred 1 year or more in relevant experience.
• Preferred knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) Intermediate.
• Preferred knowledge of transportation management Intermediate.
• Preferred knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes Intermediate.
• Preferred Travel No.

Responsibilities

• Follow up purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery performance to support production requirements.
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers and provide ship schedule direction and containment plans.
• Track critical parts and develop containment plans to prevent downtime in manufacturing.
• Coordinate alternative sources of material and spot buys when necessary.
• Monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads to support schedule variations.
• Maintain inventory coverage at lowest possible cost.
• Review buffers to ensure build requirements are met.
• Document and manage code exceptions and data maintenance in MGO.
• Make inventory adjustment decisions based on investigation and analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
