Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
• 1+ year of administrative experience (Preferred).
• 1+ year of relevant supply‑chain or inventory control experience (Preferred).
• Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) – Intermediate (Preferred).
• Knowledge of transportation management – Intermediate (Preferred).
• Knowledge of material flow in manufacturing processes – Intermediate (Preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and self‑driven in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on purchased parts to ensure shipment and on‑time delivery performance to support production requirements.
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers, providing direction regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule.
• Make decisions on timing for supplier ship schedules, allowing push, pull, or expedited shipment based on inventory coverage at plant.
• Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to prevent interruptions or downtime on manufacturing lines.
• Coordinate or arrange alternative sources of material, request spot buys, and support other GM plants as needed.
• Monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‑up as necessary to support schedule variations and maintain material coverage at the lowest cost for the customer.
• Review part buffers to confirm build requirements cover; maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and adjust as needed.
• Document and manage S and AV code exceptions, maintain alarm interval, and investigate record adjustment requests from the previous shift.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
