Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Toledo, Ohio is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate for the GM LLP account. The role focuses on ensuring material availability, inventory control, and on-time delivery while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

The position runs Monday through Friday with a 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, a preference for a Bachelor's degree, and at least one year of administrative or relevant experience, with knowledge

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• 1 year or more administrative experience.
• 1 year or more relevant experience.
• Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) Intermediate, Preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation management Intermediate, Preferred.
• Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes Intermediate, Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery performance to support production requirements.
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers. Provide direction to suppliers regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plan when behind schedule.
• Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plan to ensure no interruptions or down time to manufacturing line.
• Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, requests for spot buys, if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants).
• Independent monitoring, set-up, and cancellation of truck loads for material pick-up, as necessary to support schedule variations.
• Review part buffers to determine that they cover build requirements. Document and manage S and AV code exceptions including Alarm Interval maintenance.
• MGO Data Maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments where necessary.
