Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Warren, MI is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate to support the GM LLP account and ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

You will follow up on purchased parts, coordinate supplier schedules, and monitor buffers to minimize disruption in production, while working a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year administrative experience preferred.
• 1+ year relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GM's MRP system (MGO) preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation management preferred.
• Knowledge of material flow in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow up purchased parts to ensure on-time shipment.
• Be main contact for suppliers and manage ship schedules.
• Develop containment plans to avoid production downtime.
• Coordinate alternative material sources and spot buys if needed.
• Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize cost.
• Review buffers and manage code exceptions and alarms.
