Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate in Warren, MI to manage supplier relationships, parts scheduling, and inventory control for GM LLP accounts. The role requires attention to production continuity, cost-conscious decisions, and a team-oriented mindset.

You will work a 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM schedule, with potential overtime. The position is salaried with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance within a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 year or more admin experience preferred
• 1 year or more relevant experience preferred
• Knowledge of MGO MRP system (GM) is a plus
• Knowledge of transportation management is a plus
• Knowledge of material flow in manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Follow-up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery to support production requirements
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers and manage ship schedules and containment plans
• Track critical parts and develop containment to ensure no interruptions to manufacturing
• Coordinate alternative sources of material and spot buys when needed
• Monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads to support schedules and minimize cost
• Review part buffers to cover build requirements and manage code exceptions
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and process adjustments
